Top Chinese Forklift Brands 2026: Ranking and Guide
Top Chinese Forklift Brands 2026: Ranking and Guide
Picking the wrong forklift brand does not cost you the price difference – it costs a full extra year of diesel, maintenance and downtime. Chinese forklift brands have moved into the global top tier, so the real question in 2026 is no longer whether Chinese machines are good enough, but which of the Chinese forklift brands fits your duty cycle. This ranking compares the eight serious manufacturers on sales scale, electric product lines, capacity range, certifications and parts support, then shows you how to buy from China without the usual traps.
Why Chinese forklift brands now compete with the global top tier
The scale argument is settled. China is the largest forklift producer and exporter in the world, and in the first seven months of 2026 Chinese manufacturers sold 1,009,773 forklifts of all types, up 17.7% year on year, with 380,316 of them exported, up 22%. Counting only counterbalance and warehouse trucks excluding electric pedestrian pallet trucks, the figure is still 385,982 units (+9.6%), of which 141,152 were exported (+22.6%). What that volume bought is quality, not just price. The best Chinese manufacturers now deliver close to Japanese and European build quality at roughly 60% of the cost, which is why Chinese machines sit in warehouses from Rotterdam to Jebel Ali. Three things changed in the last five years:
- Electric lines became complete, not experimental. Electric models now account for the majority of new forklift sales in China, and lithium iron phosphate packs replaced lead-acid as the default on mid-range trucks.
- Certification became normal. CE, GCC and EPA-compliant configurations are catalogue options rather than special projects, with the documentation to match.
- Tonnage coverage widened. Chinese factories now cover everything from 1.5-ton warehouse trucks to 50-ton heavy handlers, where previously the heavy end was imported-only territory.
How we ranked the brands
A brand ranking that only lists sales volume tells you who is big, not who fits you. Chinese forklift brands differ far more in duty fit than in raw scale. We scored the market on six dimensions:
| Dimension | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Sales scale and market position | Financial stability, warranty credibility, parts volume |
| Electric product line completeness | Whether lithium options exist across sizes or only on one model |
| Capacity range | Whether one factory can cover your whole fleet |
| Overseas service and parts network | How fast a wear part arrives in year three |
| Certifications (CE, GCC, EPA) | Whether your market clears customs without redesign |
| Price tier | Where the machine sits between value and premium |
Top Chinese forklift brands 2026: the three tiers
Tier 1: HELI and Hangcha
Anhui HELI (listed as 600761) is the domestic number one and a permanent member of the global top ten forklift makers. In 2025 its main products sold 394,500 units on revenue of RMB 19.8 billion, with one of the broadest parts and dealer networks in China. Hangcha Group, founded in 1974, is the consistent domestic number two, with first-three-quarter 2025 revenue of RMB 13.97 billion, up 8.69%.
Best for: buyers who need the widest possible model range, or who operate where a HELI service point already exists. Honest note: both are premium-priced among Chinese brands and their export dealer networks vary strongly by country – ask about your specific market before assuming coverage.
Tier 2: Jingong and Lonking
These are the machine builders: full-line construction equipment factories whose forklift ranges grew out of loader and heavy-equipment know-how. Jingong was founded in 1979 and built China’s first fork-mounted loader in 2007; Lonking was founded in 1993 and listed in Hong Kong in 2005. Their forklifts carry the structural engineering habit of that world: heavier mast sections, conservative hydraulic margins, and frames that tolerate rough yards rather than only clean warehouse floors.
Best for: mixed indoor-outdoor duty, yards and construction sites, buyers who want diesel and electric from one factory. Honest note: their electric ranges are newer than Tier 1 brands, so check the specific battery and controller suppliers quoted.
Tier 3: EP, Noblelift and Baoli
EP and Noblelift lead on electric and light material handling – pallet trucks, stackers and compact lithium trucks. EP is one of three Chinese forklift makers producing above 270,000 units annually alongside HELI and Hangcha, while Noblelift built its reputation on warehouse trucks and logistics equipment. Baoli focuses on the value end of the electric range.
Best for: indoor warehouse fleets, e-commerce fulfilment, light manufacturing. Honest note: these brands are not the answer for heavy outdoor or rough-terrain work; do not buy a warehouse specialist for a quarry yard.
What we actually supply
We are Shanxi Yongle, a 20-year distributor and parts agent, not a factory. Our forklift line is Jingong and Huanan, and we would rather show you the exact models than talk about brands in the abstract.
| Range | Models | Capacity | Typical duty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jingong diesel | JGM761FT20M to JGM771FT32M | 2.0-3.2 t | Yards, building materials, general logistics |
| Jingong diesel heavy | JGM791FT50M | 5.0 t | Timber, steel, containers |
| Jingong electric | 761FT20E, JGM771FT32E | 2.0-3.2 t | Indoor, food, pharma, cold chain |
| Huanan electric | HNL-35EL to HNL-56EL | 1.8-5.6 t | Warehouse and light outdoor |
| Huanan heavy | HNF350-1200EL-C | 30-50 t class | Port and heavy industry |
Behind all of it sits our 2,000 square metre parts warehouse: mast chains, oil seals, filters, brake pads and attachments, ready to ship with the machine or years later when something wears out. If you need a brand we do not carry, we will say so and source it through our factory contacts rather than pretend.
Electric vs diesel: the first decision
Make this choice before you compare Chinese forklift brands, because it eliminates half the market instantly.
- Choose electric (lithium) for: indoor work, food and pharmaceutical handling, cold storage, enclosed warehouses, operations inside low-emission or noise-restricted zones. Lithium packs are maintenance-free, accept opportunity charging, and typically last the life of the truck.
- Choose diesel or heavy IC for: ports, steel yards, mines, lumberyards, outdoor sites with rough ground and long shifts. Nothing electric handles an eight-hour container yard in summer heat as cheaply.
- On five-year cost: electricity plus near-zero maintenance usually beats diesel fuel plus filters plus hydraulic service plus emission-zone access costs. The gap widens every year fuel prices rise, and it reverses sharply if the truck sits idle most of the week.

Choosing the right capacity
Capacity mismatch is the most expensive procurement mistake among Chinese forklift brands – under-sizing destroys mast life, over-sizing wastes capital and floor space.
| Working scenario | Capacity | Attachments to consider |
|---|---|---|
| E-commerce and standard pallets | 1.5-2.0 t | Sideshift, fork positioner |
| General warehousing (about 80% of sites) | 2.5-3.0 t | Sideshift, paper roll clamp |
| Timber, steel, containers | 4.0-5.0 t | Long forks, container handler mast |
| Paper reels, stone, bulk bags | 8 t and above | Heavy-duty mast, clamp |
| Port and heavy industry | 30 t and above | Empty container handler, spreader (Huanan HNF series) |
Buying from China: 6 checks before you pay
1. Certification for your market. Confirm CE for Europe, GCC for the Gulf, or the relevant EPA/CARB step for North America, and check the certificate matches the exact model and battery type you are buying.
2. Mast grade and safety. The mast is the most expensive assembly on the truck and the most common failure point on cheap units. Ask for the mast safety class and section thickness, not just lift height.
3. Battery and motor suppliers. Lithium cells and controllers are not equal. Named cells with a written capacity warranty beat a generic pack with a verbal promise.
4. O&M manual and spare parts list. Request both before payment. A factory that cannot produce a wiring diagram on request is a factory that cannot help you in year three.
5. Loading plan and transport. Forklifts are bulky. Confirm container loading method, securing drawings, and that you receive photographs of the secured machine before the doors close.
6. Warranty terms in writing. Duration, what is covered, and how claims are handled across a border. Vague warranty language is a red flag.
FAQ: buying Chinese forklifts
How long does a Chinese forklift last?
A properly specified machine from any of the serious Chinese forklift brands, with regular maintenance, runs 8,000 to 10,000 hours of service on average – comparable to Japanese trucks in real duty, because the wear components are the same categories of part and increasingly sourced from the same suppliers.
How much does a replacement forklift battery cost?
Lithium iron phosphate packs are now a fraction of what lead-acid cost per kilowatt-hour, and they last the life of the truck in most duty cycles. We quote battery capacity in writing with the machine, so you can verify the claim later.
Is the mast really the part that fails first?
On budget units, yes – mast chains, rollers and welds are where costs get cut. That is why we insist on mast specifications in the quotation rather than only lift height.
Do I need CE marking to import?
For Europe, yes. For the Gulf, GCC conformity matters for customs and for project approvals. We build the certificate package around your destination country, not around a generic export template.
Can I customise colour and attachments?
Yes on both, within reason. Colour is a production-batch decision, attachments like sideshifts, clamps and long forks are order-line items. Confirm attachment brand and capacity in the contract.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Single-unit orders are accepted, and pricing improves clearly at three units and above. For fleet projects we quote in tiers so you can see exactly what volume buys you.
How long is the lead time?
Standard configurations ship in 20 to 35 days after deposit and specification sign-off, plus sea transit. Custom attachments or non-catalogue colours add roughly one production cycle.
How do I order spare parts later?
Send the model and serial number and we pull from our warehouse: mast chains, oil seals, filters, brake pads and attachments. Parts orders ship separately by courier, so a single wear part does not wait for a container.
